PUTRAJAYA: Just hours before Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim was arrested yesterday, he told the Anti-Corruption Agency that he had more evidence against Attorney-General Tan Sri Abdul Gani Patail and Inspector-General of Police Tan Sri Musa Hassan.

He also told ACA officers he was willing to come back to them as soon as possible with the evidence which allegedly showed that Musa and Gani had fabricated evidence against him during the "black eye" investigation in 1998.

Accompanied by his lawyers Sankara N. Nair and Param Cumaraswamy, Subang MP R. Sivarasa, PKR Youth chief Shamsul Iskandar Akin and PKR chief-of-staff Ibrahim Yaacob, Anwar arrived at the ACA headquarters about 10am.

He was questioned for about two hours over his report which he had lodged against the two lawmen at the Selangor police headquarters on July 1.

When he came out of the ACA headquarters, Anwar said he was satisfied the ACA officers had accepted his evidence of the alleged fabrication and suppression of evidence by Gani and Musa.

"It was well-recorded. There are more evidence to be submitted."

He also said he was satisfied with the "line of questioning" by the ACA.

The ACA had recorded statements from Gani and Musa on July 11.

Anwar told senior investigating officers Azizul Ahmad Sarkawi and Rosli Hussain that in case he was detained by police, they could interview him in the police lock-up.
