We are pleased to inform members that database for the online legal directory on this website have been upgraded.
With this upgrade, the online legal directory will synchronise with the membership system operated at the Bar Council Secretariat.
In other words, we will import the data to the online legal directory every week. Previously, we had to make the changes manually, and this had taken me and the IT Executive a lot of time to do it as there are hundreds of changes every month. However, updating the lists for Commissioners for Oaths, Notaries Public and Syariah lawyers will still have to be done manually.
Members are now encouraged to check their details published in the online legal directory. If there are any errors or changes to be made to the online entries, please inform the Bar Council Secretariat directly. For verification purposes, we only accept any request for amendments communicated by way of fax under the letterhead of the member's firm.
