here to access the memorandum by Safer Malaysia entitled "Visions of Safer Malaysia", which was submitted to many Government leaders and agencies. The memorandum calls for various reforms, and contains proposed mechanisms and solutions to improve security and help Malaysians reclaim ownership of the issue of safety in Malaysia. The Safer Malaysia Committee was originally a community project established back in June 2012. The Safer Malaysia Project was the concerted effort of a few concerned individuals who were determined to counter the menace of crime, which was rapidly increasing by the day.
The project became a full-fledged committee when Bar Council adopted it in March 2013. Many State Bar Committees, including Kedah, Pahang, Perak, Perlis and Malacca have established Safer Malaysia subcommittees.
The ultimate goal of the committee is to make Malaysia a safer place.
