Doris Chew Seok Kim, a senior Penang lawyer and one of the founding partners of the firm of Messrs Chew, Tan & Lim, passed away in Singapore yesterday (16 Sept 2010) after a brief illness.
Doris Chew leaves behind her son and daughter, son-in-law, grandson, mother, siblings, sisters and brothers-in-law, and a host of relatives, loved ones and friends.
The funeral will be held on 18 Sept 2010 (Saturday) at 2:00 pm, when the cortege will leave the Batu Gantong Funeral Parlour, Lot C, and head to the Batu Gantong Crematorium, Penang.
The Penang Bar mourns the loss of our sister-at-law and offers our heartfelt condolences to the family of Doris Chew. May her soul rest in peace.

I started work as a legal assistant at Chew, Tan & Lim and Doris Chew whose room was beside mine at that time was always extremely kind to me. I will remember her fondly as a caring, gentle, liberated and powerful woman.
