PETALING JAYA: High Court judge Datuk Abdul Wahab Said Ahmad died last
night, shortly after collapsing from a badminton game with friends at a club.
Abdul Wahab, 53, (picture) was believed to have suffered a heart attack and was
rushed to the Selangor Medical Centre in Shah Alam. He died about 10pm.
He leaves a wife, Datin Salmah Md Kassim, 49, three sons — Ahmad Razif, 26,
Ahmad Ridzwan, 23, Ahmad Shahir, 15 — and a daughter Nur Syazwani, 20.
Nur Syazwani said family members were making arrangements to take the body from
his home in D’Villa Botani in Kota Damansara for burial in his hometown in Teluk
Intan today.
"My grandmother insisted that my father should be buried there as most of our
relatives live in Teluk Intan," she said in between sobs.
Abdul Wahab previously served as a magistrate, Federal Court chief registrar,
Ipoh Sessions Court judge and Perak state legal adviser.
