The Malacca Bar Committee will be organising a Human Rights Forum entitled “What Next After Lina Joy” to discuss the implications and the legal effect of the Federal Court decision in Lina Joy vs. Majlis Agama Islam Wilayah Persekutuan & 2 Ors, details of which are as follows:-

Time:  7.30pm
Venue: The Legacy Hotel, Jalan Hang Tuah, Melaka

As in our previous Forums, we have arranged a number of eminent speakers for this Forum:-

2. Dr Azmi Sharom, Associate Professor, Law Faculty, University of Malaya
3. Cik Zainah Anwar, Executive Director, Sisters in Islam
4. Dr Mohamed Azam Mohamed Adil, Pusat Pemikiran dan Kefahaman Islam, University Teknologi MARA

The Moderator for the Forum will be Mr R.R. Chelvarajah, former President of the Malaysian Bar and a senior member of the Malacca Bar.
