Proposal to punish non-Muslims for khalwat But critics say call by KL's top Islamic bodies is arrogant and insensitive IN KUALA LUMPUR - A NON-MUSLIM committing khalwat with a
Muslim should also be held liable for the offence, two influential Islamic
bodies have proposed in a resolution to be submitted to the Attorney- General. It is a drastic shift from the current law where only the Muslim partner in such

BN government must clarify!

I think the BN government must clarify this really silly suggestion. They the powers that be must come out and declare once and for all what is the government's position on this matter. The present silence is deafening!

BN not so silent written by Lim Chong Leong, Thursday, April 03 2008 07:12 pm
Didn't our PM and/or DPM say Malaysia was an Islamic State not too long ago? Our former Chief Justice too wanted to abolish civil law in place of Syariah. So Yang Poh, why is BN silent? Or have they been silent at all? Write comment

BN has for a long time tried to frighten voters by asserting that PAS, if given a chance, would take the hardline and apply syariah laws even to non-Muslims. This latest initiative, which is clearly wrong in principle, does not come from PAS. Why is BN so silent now?
