It is with great sadness that we record that Victor Paul A/L Dorai Raj, who was a legal assistant at Messrs Burhan & Co. in Alor Setar, Kedah, passed away on 7 Sept 2026.
Victor Paul A/L Dorai Raj was admitted as an advocate and solicitor of the High Court of Malaya in 1991.
Victor Paul A/L Dorai Raj served as a Bar Council member for the 2015/16 (as Kedah Bar Representative on the Bar Council), 2016/17 and 2017/18 (both terms in the capacity of Chairman of the Kedah Bar Committee) terms. He also served as Co-Chairperson of the Subcommittee on YBGK (Yayasan Bantuan Guaman Kebangsaan) from 2018 to 2019, and Co-Deputy Chairperson of the Bar Council National Legal Aid Committee from 2015 to 2017.
Victor Paul A/L Dorai Raj was the Chairman of the Legal Aid Centre (Kedah) from 2009 to 2010, and from 2013 to 2015.
The Malaysian Bar extends its heartfelt condolences and sympathies to his family members and loved ones.
The wake will be held today (8 Sept 2026) at No 3008, Taman Jalan Sultanah, Lorong Bayu, 05350 Alor Setar, Kedah, from 9:00 am to 10:00 pm. Prayers will be held at 8:00 pm tonight, at the same venue.
The funeral procession will leave for the crematorium (Prestavest Memorial Park, Kebun 500, 06350 Pokok Sena, Kedah) at 10:00 am tomorrow (9 Sept 2026).
