It is with great sadness that we record that Chan Hua Eng, who was among the 50 most senior Members of the Malaysian Bar for the past several years and was previously a partner of Shearn Delamore & Co. in Kuala Lumpur, passed away on 15 Apr 2025.
Chan Hua Eng was admitted as an advocate and solicitor of the High Court of Malaya in 1955. He was the President of the Malaysian Bar from 1973 to 1974.
Chan Hua Eng served as a member of the Bar Council from 1970 to 1971, and from 1974 to 1977. He also served as Chairperson on many Bar Council committees.
The Malaysian Bar extends its heartfelt condolences and sympathies to his family members and loved ones.
