Members of the Bar who are facing disciplinary proceedings may be at a loss as to how to respond, and what they should do in such a situation.
In order to support such Members, the Bar Council maintains a Respondent Aid Directory (“Directory”) that contains information regarding Members who are willing to provide legal assistance or advice, and/or represent fellow Members who are facing disciplinary proceedings, on a pro bono basis.
The Bar Council’s role is limited to producing the Directory and making it available to Members of the Bar. The Bar Council is not in a position to vouch for the experience or suitability of any Member listed in the Directory. The Bar Council will not be responsible for any loss or damage that may arise from reliance by any party on the Directory.

Members of the Bar who have been in practice for at least 10 years and wish to lend a helping hand to fellow Members can request to be listed in the Directory, by taking the following steps:
(1) Complete the reply slip, which is available here; and
(2) Submit the Undertaking and Indemnity Form that is available here (see page 2) to Md Faizal b Mahat, at the contact details listed above.
