(1) The Third Schedule to the Solicitors’ Remuneration Order 2005 [P.U.(A) 520/2005] shall not apply to standard financing documents for trade finance products approved by the Central Bank of Malaysia in respect of the Multi-Currency Trade Finance Scheme (MCTFS) and the Indirect Exporter Financing Scheme (IEFS) for both Islamic and conventional financing facilities.
(2) The remuneration of a solicitor having the conduct of and completing such business referred to in subparagraph (1), whether for the lender or the borrower, shall be -
(a) in respect of the principal instrument, 10% of the scale fees chargeable under the Third Schedule to the Solicitors’ Remuneration Order 2005 or RM500.00, whichever is the higher amount; and
(b) a fixed fee of RM200.00 for each subsidiary instrument.
