6.06 Litigation against a company for which Advocate and Solicitor is a panel lawyer

Subject to Rule 25 of the Etiquette Rules 1978, an Advocate and Solicitor who is on a panel of lawyers for any company, body or organisation, may act in a matter against that company, body or organisation, but as soon as it becomes apparent that he will be so acting and before he so acts, he must inform his client in writing that he is on the panel of lawyers for that company, body or organisation.
