14.17. Advocate and Solicitor permitted to practise in foreign jurisdiction
An Advocate and Solicitor who is a sole proprietor or partner in a Malaysian law
firm is allowed to practise in a foreign jurisdiction (not necessarily under the
same firm name as his Malaysian firm name), provided that he fulfils all the
relevant requirements of that foreign jurisdiction.
Note:- Advocates and Solicitors who practise outside of West Malaysia are to
take note that they are not covered under the master policy of the Professional
Indemnity Insurance Scheme, in respect of their practice outside of West
Malaysia.
