The above schedule of reduced legal fees was agreed to jointly by the Bar Council and Bank Negara, and was approved on December 18, 1998 by the Solicitors’ Cost Committee appointed by the Chief Justice under the Legal Profession Act.
However, the Bar Council reiterates that under Bar Council Conveyancing Practice Ruling No. 3, a solicitor is not to represent their services at promotional sites and booking offices where units are sold or offered for sale.
