Complaints from judges PDF Print E-mail
Tuesday, 11 May 1999 12:00am

The Bar Council notes the concern of Y.A. Datuk Dr. R.K. Nathan of an instance where a litigant had alleged that he had been misled by his lawyer in relation to a matter heard by the judge.

The Bar Council reiterates that it would welcome complaints from judges for unethical conduct by members of the Bar and in appropriate cases. The Bar Council will not hesitate to prefer formal complaints with the Advocates & Solicitors Disciplinary Board.

The Bar is an ancient and noble profession and would like its members to maintain the strictest ethical standard in accordance with the best traditions of the profession.
