To Members of the Malaysian Bar and pupils in chambers

Following the first introductory workshop to dragonboating conducted on 18 Mar 2012, the National Young Lawyers Committee (“NYLC”) and the Malacca Bar Young Lawyers & Chambering Pupils Subcommittee are once again collaborating to organise another introductory workshop to dragonboating, exclusively for Members of the Bar and pupils in chambers! 

You will be able to paddle a dragonboat after this half-day session, which will be conducted in a safe and fun environment.  Details of the workshop are as follows:

Date : 15 July 2012 (Sunday)
Time : 9:00 am to 1:00 pm
Venue : Ayer Keroh Lake, Malacca
Registration Fee : RM10 per person

The workshop will cover:

(1) Introduction to the dragonboat and paddles, on-land briefing on paddling techniques, as well as water safety; and 

(2) Two sessions of on-water paddling. 

Dress code and things to bring:
  •  Comfortable t-shirt and shorts/long pants, expect to get a little bit wet.
  •  Strapped sandals or water shoes, sports shoes are not advisable as they will get soaked.
  •  Put on lots of sunblock.  A cap and/or sunglasses are advisable to keep the sun out. 
  •  Life vests and paddles will be provided.
  •  Light refreshments will be provided but we encourage you to bring along water/sports drink.
