Fun Fiesta All Johore Bar members are very kind at heart. Many of us contribute to various charity organizations and attend all sorts of social events.

Such unseen kindness of the members must be made known and seen!!

Johore Young Lawyers Committee (“JYLC”) is honoured to organise our 1st ever held Charity Night 2007. It is a voluntary activity, where the young lawyers dedicate some time out from their busy schedule to organise this event to help those non/less government funded charity organisations supporting those mentally and physically disabled persons, regardless of their race or religion.

Out from the caring Bar comes the birth of this Charity Night.

JYLC in aid of Johore Cheshire Home (“JCH”)

Fun Fiesta Cheshire Home is an international charity organisation helping those physically and mentally disabled children. The first Cheshire Home was founded in the United Kingdom by the late Lord Leonard Cheshire in 1948.

Currently, JCH houses 32 residents, the youngest of whom aged 11 with the oldest aged 70. The racial ratios are 60% Chinese, 30% Malays and 10% Indians. The longest resident, who has neither family nor relatives, has been residing at the home for the past 40 years!! On an average, every resident needs RM20-00 per day (RM600-00 per month) to cover their daily cost of living and medical fees. The Malaysian Government only helps relieve 20% of such costs at JCH which is only about RM120-00. 80% of such costs come from contributions from the public. JHC is facing a deficit of RM480 per month for each person. JHC is currently managed by 14 volunteered staffs.

As such, you may show your supports by buying the invitation ticket(s) at Johore Bar secretariat or from JYLC members!!

If you bought the invitation ticket and do not turn up, the price of RM15 will be fully contributed to the Johore Cheshire Home. Therefore, there is no "wastage" if you are unavailable to attend the Charity Night!
