Launch of The National Law Awareness Week 2011: Legal Aid - Back to Community

The Bar Council National Legal Aid Committee’s “National Law Awareness Week” (“NLAW 2011”) will take place on 3 to 7 Oct 2011 (Monday to Friday). The theme for this year, “Legal Aid – Back to Community”, aims to empower rural and marginalised communities on their basic human rights, and legal and general knowledge.
The launch of NLAW 2011 will take place at 9:00 am to 2:00 pm, at Kampung Ulu Geroh, a Semai village in Gopeng, Perak, on 2 Oct 2011 (Sunday). The launch will be officiated by YAB Dato’ Seri DiRaja Dr Zambry Abd Kadir, Chief Minister of Perak, and is a good opportunity to find out more about the way of life in a Semai village, and learn of the hardship and challenges faced by the community on a daily basis.
