On 4 September 2009, the organising committee of the 15th Biennial Malaysian Law Conference (MLC) 2010 held its first meeting. The meeting chaired by Mr Lim Chee Wee was attended by Mr Andrew Khoo, Mr Lim Chi Chau, Mr Oommen Koshy, Mr Sivaruben Balasekaran and Cik Yasmeen Shariff.
The Committee decided on the theme of ‘Malaysian Law: Extending Frontiers, Widening Horizons’ because the 15th MLC will feature the improvements in and the need for more improvements to the Malaysian legal system and its role as a dispute resolution centre. The 15th MLC 2010 will be held at Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre on 29 to 31 July 2010.
The next committee meeting is scheduled in December. The Committee welcomes volunteers and any member interested to help out can contact Sumitra Penesar at 03-20313003 ext 108 or by email sumitra@malaysianbar.org.my
