15th Malaysian Law Conference Wall Banner Unveiling (26 June 2010)

26 June 2010 was a significant date in the 15th Malaysian Law Conference (MLC 2010)’s calendar. A wall banner publicising MLC 2010, measuring 19 x 40 ft, was unveiled on that day. As my colleagues and I stood awe-struck under the blazing sun, watching the yellow crane attach the banner on the side of the Bar Council building on Leboh Pasar Besar, I was hit hard by a realisation.
Over the last several months, the MLC 2010 Organising Committee has been working hard for one purpose but it was at that distinct moment when everything clicked together for me - MLC 2010 is real and it’s happening soon. We were filled with anticipation and exuberance and, to a certain extent, a sense of anxiety as we realise just how close 29 July is.
Within two hours, the wall banner was finally revealed in all its glory as it proclaimed to Kuala Lumpur that MLC 2010 is coming to town. As we left the site, it was with the knowledge that the wall banner is up but our work is far from done. We shall soldier on and make the Conference a resounding success! _____________________________________________________________________
