Motion 1:
To consider resolution from the Penang Bar Committee to discontinue the levy for the Building Fund
Resolution:
It was decided by majority vote that the Bar should have a building of its own. Therefore the Motion was rejected.
Motion 2:
To consider proposal that the Malaysian Bar resolve that the resolution passed at its Extraordinary General Meeting on 18th October 1977 be withdrawn.

Resolution:
The proposed Motion was rejected by majority vote.
Motion 3:
To consider appointment of Director for the Bar Council.
Proposer: Bar Council
Resolution:
It was unanimously agreed that a legally qualified person would be employed.
Follow-up Action:
Mr Danieul Mudali, a chemistry graduate, was employed as Executive Director from the 1st August 1981 on probation for a period of six months at a salary of $2,000.00 per month.
