Message of Condolence on the demise of the late Rt. Hon. Peter A. Adjetey, First President of the Pan African Lawyers Union |

The news of the demise of the Rt. Honourable Peter Ala
Adjetey former Speaker of the Parliament of the Republic of Ghana, Past
President of the Ghana Bar, and Past President of the Pan African Lawyers Union
(PALU) has run shock waves throughout the entire community of African lawyers
and the legal profession worldwide. The Rt. Honourable Peter Ala Adjetey was one
of the founders and the first President of the Pan African Lawyers Union. Being
the pioneer panafrican he was, only somebody of his stature could have been at
the rudder of the ship that delivered PALU as we know it today.
As we await news of the funeral arrangements, the Pan African
Lawyers Union through my humble person expresses its profound regrets and
c9ndolences to the bereaved family, the Ghana Bar Association and the people of
Ghana for such a great loss.
The giant footprints this illustrious son of Ghana has left
in the sands of time, is testimony to the kind of legacy he leaves behind, PALU
hopes that this source of pride will contribute to bringing the kind of solace
his family needs during this trying moments.
Along with our prayers for a peaceful resting place for the
now departed President P.A.Adjetey, we also pray for courage and strength for
his widow and family.
