Peter Ala AdjeteyThe news of the demise of the Rt. Honourable Peter Ala Adjetey former Speaker of the Parliament of the Republic of Ghana, Past President of the Ghana Bar, and Past President of the Pan African Lawyers Union (PALU) has run shock waves throughout the entire community of African lawyers and the legal profession worldwide. The Rt. Honourable Peter Ala Adjetey was one of the founders and the first President of the Pan African Lawyers Union. Being the pioneer panafrican he was, only somebody of his stature could have been at the rudder of the ship that delivered PALU as we know it today.

As we await news of the funeral arrangements, the Pan African Lawyers Union through my humble person expresses its profound regrets and c9ndolences to the bereaved family, the Ghana Bar Association and the people of Ghana for such a great loss.

The giant footprints this illustrious son of Ghana has left in the sands of time, is testimony to the kind of legacy he leaves behind, PALU hopes that this source of pride will contribute to bringing the kind of solace his family needs during this trying moments.

Along with our prayers for a peaceful resting place for the now departed President P.A.Adjetey, we also pray for courage and strength for his widow and family.

Akere T. Muna
President Pan African Lawyers' Union
