Rule 14. Special provisions for articled clerks registered prior to the coming into force of these Rules
(1) A person who is registered as an articled clerk prior to the coming into force of these Rules may apply in writing to the Board to register his articles under rule 4 and the Board shall register such articles notwithstanding that the articled clerk is not qualified to be so registered under these Rules.
(2) Articles registered under paragraph (1) shall be exempted from the fee under rule 12.
(3) An articled clerk who is registered under paragraph (1) shall be required to take all the examinations prescribed under these Rules and such examinations shall be completed, at the option of the articled clerk, either within the period of the articles specified in his contract of articles before the registration of the articles under paragraph (1) or within ten years of the registration under paragraph (1).
