KUALA LUMPUR: A retired headmaster has lodged a police report over claims in a blog that he is one of the several people who have converted to Christianity.

Zainal Ratin Zainal Abidin, 67, who made the report at the Taman Tun Dr Ismail police station at 2.00pm yesterday, claimed that his son had stumbled upon the blog, which had his name in full and MyKad number, while surfing the Internet.

“In the list, I am a categorised as a Malay but my religion is Christian,” he said, describing this as slander.

Zainal Ratin, who was accompanied by his son, urged the authorities to conduct an investigation.

He added that there were other names in the list on the blog.

Brickfields OCPD Asst Comm Wan Bari Wan Abdul Khalid confirmed the report, adding that they would hand over the case to the religious authority to investigate.
