KUALA LUMPUR, Aug 22 (Bernama) -- The police on Friday raided Malaysia Today
blogger Raja Petra Kamaruddin's house to facilitate investigations into a
Hospital Pusrawi doctor's statutory declaration on a sodomy allegation linking
Parti Keadilan Rakyat advisor Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim.
A police team spent about two hours searching the house located near Bukit
Rahman Putra in Sungai Buloh, when it arrived about 8am.
The team seized a laptop computer, scanner and an assortment of documents to
shed light on the investigations.
It is understood that the controversial blogger would be investigated by the
police after the Permatang Pauh by-election on Aug 26.
Federal Commercial Crime Investigation Departnment director Datuk Koh Hong Sun
confirmed the raid but declined to elaborate.
On Aug 1, Dr Mohamed Osman Abdul Hamid, a Myanmar citizen, was said to have
filed a statutory declaration defending his medical examination of Anwar's
former aide Mohd Saiful Bukhari Azlan that the latter was not sodomised.
Mohd Saiful was examined by Dr Mohamed Osman before he lodged a police report on
June 28, alleging that he was sodomised by Anwar.
