KUALA LUMPUR: Inspector-General of Police Tan Sri Musa Hassan was discharged from the National Heart Institute (IJN) here yesterday.

Musa emerged from his second-floor room at 3.25pm. He shook hands with the staff and nurses.

Dressed in a black shirt and pants, Musa looked well and hearty for someone who had just undergone a heart by-pass.

Musa left the building via a back door, accompanied by several escorts. It is learnt he headed straight home.

Doctors discharged 57-year-old Musa after giving him the all-clear.
Musa underwent three hours of surgery last Tuesday and was transferred out of the coronary care unit the next day.

Musa was admitted to IJN last Monday night for a scheduled operation after a routine medical check-up revealed the blockages.
