JOHOR BARU: Police are looking for a lawyer to assist in investigations into a criminal breach of trust (CBT) case involving RM660,000.

Johor commercial crime chief Assistant Commissioner Rosman Omar said police believe that lawyer Kamal Hisham Jaffar (IC No: 700302-01-5853), whose last known address is No 6, Lorong Mutiara in Kg Majidee here, has not left the state.

"There were rumours that Kamal   was in Dubai, but checks with the state Immigration Department showed no record  of him leaving Johor," said Rosman  at the Johor police contingent here yesterday.

Rosman said that police would  request for   Interpol's assistance  to bring Kamal back if it was true that he was in Dubai.

"We (police) just need Kamal's  statement to facilitate investigation into the CBT case."

The case is being investigated under Section 409 of the Penal Code, which carries a maximum jail term of 20 years with fine and whipping, if found guilty.

Anyone who knows Kamal's whereabouts can contact Assistant Superintendent Azlan Ahmad at 07-3354177,  or 019-4101 222.
