©New Straits Times (Used by permission) GEORGE TOWN: Sungai Pinang assemblyman Koid Teng Guan, who ignited controversy after being accused of and admitting to plagiarism, has apologised to the people for his misconduct. But all has not been resolved for Koid, as he still faces the
prospect of stern disciplinary action, either from the state government itself
or his party, the DAP. Speaking at the state Legislative Assembly building here
yesterday, Deputy Chief Minister Professor Dr P. Ramasamy said the state
government in general and DAP in particular would not condone such an act. Comments (1)

It is good for the DAP-led State Government to apologise for the gross misconduct of one of its Assemblymen.
He has let the side down by not just copying the questions. He earlier cast blame on one of his assistants. That is an act of dishonesty.
Whatever disciplinary action the DAP is going to mete out, the party must send a singularly strong signal that its State Assemblymen and parliamentarians do not and will never subscribe to the practice of misleading the House, either at State or Federal level.
Anything less is a betrayal of the people's trust.
