PETALING JAYA: The Desa Damansara condominium, where the alleged sodomy took
place, is home to the rich and famous in Kuala Lumpur, including a former top
banker and an ex-minister.  High living: Mohd Saiful alleged that he was sodomised by Anwar in one the units at Desa Damansara. Desa Damansara, located in the exclusive and quiet area of Damansara Heights,
has come under the microscope since Mohd Saiful Bukhari Azlan alleged that he
was sodomised by PKR de facto leader Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim in one of the
units there.
Mohd Saiful, in a police report lodged on Saturday, alleged the sodomy took
place at Desa Damansara on Thursday. Police carried out a search in the
condominium unit on Monday.
From the few “For sale” ads placed, a condominium unit of about 1,000 sq ft is
quoted at more than RM600,000, and a low-rise unit with four rooms measuring
about 2,000 sq ft at RM1.5mil.
Rental for a fully-furnished two-bedroom unit is about RM4,000 a month.
Desa Damansara was built in two phases. The first was completed about 16 years
ago while the second phase was completed about five years ago.

The condominium is managed by Kondoservis Sdn Bhd, established some 28 years ago
under IGB Corporation Bhd.
It provides management services for all condominium projects developed by Tan &
Tan Developments, which is a wholly-owned subsidiary of IGB Corp.
The first phase is designed with country-resort living in mind and has one tower
block and nine low-rise buildings with 114 units.
“Taking advantage of the natural terrain, the unique landscape blends
ingeniously with the contour, with roads and walkways spiralling gracefully
within the compound, linking the apartment blocks as well as the various
facilities,” the website states.
The second phase comprises two tower blocks of 132 apartments and has a
“state-of-the-art” swimming pool with a waterfall. It also boasts tennis courts,
a fully-equipped gym room and a “leisure garden” on the rooftop.
