He said the video – to be posted on the ministry’s website – would show footage that has been verified as authentic covering the events that unfolded during and leading up to the violence that took place on that day. “The video will show everything, even instances where it has been claimed that police brutality took place. “All I want is for the truth to come out and as I promised, the video will show everything ... the good, the bad and the ugly,” he said at a press conference after receiving a courtesy call from members of the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) at his office here. Hishammuddin also brushed aside concerns of an overlap in functions between the recently formed Independent Advisory Panel on the Bersih 3.0 rally and the ongoing rally violence probe by human rights watchdog Suhakam. He said the panel, just like Suhakam, was merely one of the several channels set up to get to the bottom of the incident. He added that the ministry would consider the findings of both groups. “Whatever channel, be it the independent panel or Suhakam, are there to allow the people to know what is happening. “So, I am not so concerned about an overlap or about the issue being told over and over because we cannot change the facts. “We should give credit to the Malaysian public to be able to sieve through the information available. “Those in the wrong will remain (in the) wrong and will be brought to court. However, at the same time, we want justice for those who were victims of what happened on April 28,” he said. Set as favourite Share Email This Comments (0)
