PENANG: Did a Pakatan Rakyat (PR) state assemblyman lift a page from a government representative’s questions in the previous state assembly? Former Datuk Keramat state assemblyman Ong Thean Lye of Gerakan told a press conference at the state legislative assembly sitting yesterday that DAP’s Sungai Pinang state assemblyman Koid Teng Guan had reproduced verbatim three questions that Ong had raised during the November 2007 sitting of the legislative assembly.

Calling the state government a copycat (CAT is the PR state government’s tagline representing credibility, accountability and transparency), Ong said the three questions were on the monorail project, natural gas vehicle stations and sports trust fund.

In response, Deputy Chief Minister Dr P Ramasamy, in his capacity as the PR whip in the assembly, said he would initiate an internal inquiry on the allegations against Koid.

Ramasamy said the inquiry would also look into other aspects of the allegations.
