Suhakam secretary Rodziah Abdullah said in a statement that the commission had looked into all submissions it had received in the form of documents, statements and video recordings as well as identification of witnesses. She added, however, Suhakam was waiting for a response from the police regarding the commission’s request to interview policemen on duty during the rally on April 28. “The commission’s decision to conduct the public inquiry into allegations of the use of excessive force by the authorities during and after the assembly takes into account its own monitoring of the event,” she said.
