KUALA LUMPUR: Red paint was sprayed at the entrance of the Bar Council office in Jalan Lebuh Pasar here in the wee hours.

It is learnt that an unidentified man vandalised the stairs and the side of the building with red paint spray. He then rode off on a motorcycle with an accomplice.

Bar Council president Lim Chee Wee said images from the CCTV showed the culprit committing the act at about 1.30am yesterday.

“We believe this act of vandalism is connected to the Seksualiti Merdeka programme,” he said, adding that a police report would be lodged soon.

On Thursday, Wisma MCA in Jalan Ampang here was splashed with red paint by an unknown man clad in a black jacket and cap.

Images from the CCTV captured him fleeing the scene with an accomplice.

City CID chief Senior Asst Comm Datuk Ku Chin Wah said police would enhance the CCTV images to identify the culprit.

“Our forensic department will try to come up with a clearer picture of the man,” he said yesterday.

SAC Ku said the incident was being investigated under Section 427 of the Penal Code for committing mischief.
