In the third quarter of 2009 (1 July – 30 Sept 2009), there were a total of six death claims.
In respect of the death of a Member of the Malaysian Bar, the total sum paid out to the beneficiary/ies is RM30,000 (RM20,000 from the insurer and RM10,000 from the LawCare Fund). The total sum paid out for the six claims is RM180,000 of which RM60,000 came from the LawCare Fund.
From the 1st to 3rd quarter of the year, the number of claims paid out is 17 in total.
