Senior member of the Johore Bar, S Patmanathan who was a Consultant to the firm of M/s Atikah Lau & Chai passed away peacefully on Tuesday the 16th June 2009.
He was 71. Born on January 11, 1938, S Patmanathan was called to the Malaysian Bar on 20th June 1971. He was a Barrister-At-Law of the Honourable Society of Lincoln’s Inn, London.
He was also a member of the Chartered Institute of Chartered
Arbitrators of the United Kingdom and a member of the Malaysian branch.
In 2000 he served on the panel of Mediators of the Malaysian Bar
Council.
He has been a Consultant in the firm of M/s Atikah Lau & Chai from 2001.
The funeral will take place at 4.00 pm on Thursday, 18th day of June 2009 at the Hindu Crematorium, Kebun Teh, Johor Bahru. Members wishing to pay their last respects may do so between 10.00 am to 4.00 pm on Thursday 18th day of June 2009 at his residence at No.42, Jalan Suria Utama, Taman Suria, 81100 Johor Bahru.
