JOHOR BARU: A 30-year-old lawyer was killed when he was flung out of his car after crashing into a tree.

Chia Poh Min was killed instantly in the 1.40am accident on Sunday, along Jalan Persiaran Seri Alam.

Johor traffic chief Supt T. Raveendran said police believed the victim lost control of his car while trying to negotiate a bend.

“The victim was thrown out of the vehicle from the impact and decapitated,” he said, adding that Chia’s body was discovered by a passer-by about a metre away from the car.

Supt Raveendran also said police believed the victim, who was on his way home to Seri Alam, could have dozed off while driving.

I think the newspaper article was deeply insensitive to the feelings of the family.

I agree with Carolyn.... "Decapitated" was certainly an insensitive word to use...

In solidarity,
