The International Centre for Law and Legal Studies (I-CeLLS) invites candidates to apply for the position of Director of I-CeLLS, based at Putrajaya, Kuala Lumpur. Candidates must meet the requirements and criteria outlined below.
The International Centre for Law and Legal Studies (I-CeLLS) is a newly established resource centre for law and legal studies in Malaysia. Independently governed by its Executive Council of domestically and internationally renowned legal experts, it aims to become a driving force in researching and addressing identified national, regional and international legal issues while enhancing interaction between experts from various backgrounds and disciplines.
Its vision is to carry out high-level capacity building programmes and in-depth research projects on specific legal issues. I-CeLLS aims to develop internationally recognised local expertise on key areas of law and to become a focal point of reference for these.
The Director of I-CeLLs will be appointed by the Executive Council, which has overall responsibility for determining the general policy and direction of the Centre. Assisted by four Associates, the Director will aid the Executive Council and be responsible for the day-to-day operation and administration of I-CeLLS.
