Mr Chong Kian Shoo, formerly of M/s Malek-Chong & Leonard (now dissolved) has reported to the Bar Council that a certain individual has forged his signature in an Irrevocable Power of Attorney which was purportedly witnessed by himself under the name and style of M/s Chong Kian Shoo & Associates.

KINDLY TAKE NOTICE that M/s Chong Kian Shoo & Associates is not a registered firm with the Bar Council and Mr Chong Kian Shoo, who has ceased practice since 16 May 1994, has notified the Bar Council that he is not involved directly or indirectly or in any way whatsoever with any transaction or scheme connected with the said Irrevocable Power of Attorney and has lodged a police report to protect his good name.

Members of the public are advised to notify the Bar Council's Secretariat at council@malaysianbar.org.my, if approached by individuals from the said unauthorized firm or should you have dealings with the same.
