NoticeThe Bar Council had, on 2 April 2007, published a notice in The Star and Berita Harian regarding the striking off the Roll of a member of the Bar by the name of Mr. Umar Baki b Abdul Majid (NRIC: 480805-08-5765) of M/s Umar Baki & Co, No. 334B, Tingkat 1, Jalan 18/32, Taman Sri Serdang, 43300 Seri Kembangan.

The Bar Council has been informed by Mr. Omar Bakhi Ahmad of M/s Omar Bakhi, that he has been adversely affected by the said notice due to the similarity between the two names.

The Bar Council therefore wishes to clarify that as to date, Mr. Omar Bakhi of M/s Omar Bakhi holds a valid practising certificate and no disciplinary orders have been issued against him.
