The Bar Council Secretariat seeks to assist the Malaysian Bar in upholding the cause of justice and protecting the rights and interests of the legal profession. In order to better serve our Members and the public, we are looking for qualified and suitable candidates for employment in the Secretariat.
To work for the Bar Council is to become part of an organisation that strives to promote the rule of law, uphold the independence of the judiciary and serve the needs of its more than 13,000 Members.
The work is challenging and often hectic but it can be rewarding to be part of an organisation that actively engages the authorities and plays an important role in the lively public discourse that is taking place in this country.

1. IT Executive Officer
To assist Bar Council in expanding the online services and improve the IT infrastructure;
Candidate must have at least a Degree in Computer Science / Information Technology;
At least 5 years of IT work experience, preferably 2 years of experience in Project or IT Infrastructure management;
Experience in conducting IT training will be an added advantage.
2. IT Officer
Candidate must have a Higher Diploma or Degree in Computer Science / Information Technology;
Candidate must have a minimum of 3 years of IT-related work experience, preferably with experience in PHP programming and System Integration; Knowledge in Web Content Management Systems (eg Joomla and Drupal) and Image Editing Tools (eg Adobe Photoshop) preferred.
Preferably 1 to 3 years of legal or research experience;
Good editing skills.
4. Officer
Candidate should have LLB (Hons);
At least 2 years of experience in litigation / conveyancing.
5. Administrative Assistant
Minimum qualification SPM;
At least 1 year of work experience;
Good interpersonal and communication skills;
Good customer services skills.
6. Human Resource Assistant
Candidate should have a Diploma in Human Resource Management;
At least 1 year of work experience;
Good interpersonal and communication skills.
All candidates must:
be computer literate;
have a good command of English and BM;
be able to work under minimum supervision; and
be well-organised, responsible and able to multitask.
Successful candidates can expect a competitive remuneration package based on their level of experience and qualification.
