PART V - MISCELLANEOUS:: Rule 27. Incapacity of member, etc.
(1) Where after his appointment to the Investigating Tribunal or Disciplinary Committee, as the case may be, a member is unable to discharge his functions as chairman or member of such Investigating Tribunal or Disciplinary Committee owing to serious illness or any other cause, the Director shall report that fact to the Disciplinary Board.
(2) Upon receipt of a report under subrule (1), the Disciplinary Board may revoke the appointment of the member concerned.
(3) Where any person ceases to be a member of the Investigating Tribunal by reason of subrule (1), another member shall be appointed in his place in accordance with section 100 of the Act.
(4) Where any person ceases to be a member of the Disciplinary Committee by reason of subrule (1), another member shall be appointed in his place in accordance with section 103B of the Act.
(5) Any delay in the beginning or completion of any investigation caused by the incapacity of a member or by the appointment of a new member shall not render void any hearing held or any investigation, report or recommendation made by the Investigating Tribunal or Disciplinary Committee, as the case may be.
