Fines 1. Mr. Sundarajan a/l Sokalingam (Serial No. S/1195) DB/10/5481 By ASDB Order dated 19 February 2011 the Respondent of 16, Jalan Bandar Baru Tambun Lima, Bandar Baru Tambun, 31400, Ipoh, Perak was fined RM2,000.00 for delaying the registration of a transfer of property in favour of the Complainant for almost 7 years. 2. Mr. Dass K S (Susulin @ M Siladoss) (Serial No. S/089) DB/09/5076 By ASDB Order dated 18 February 2011 the Respondent of No. 21, Jalan Perwira 1, Taman Titiwangsa, 86000 Kluang, Johor was fined RM5,000.00 for acting in gross disregard of his client’s interest in that despite being informed of the problems in his (Respondent’s) firm’s branch office, he failed to investigate and supervise his staff. 3. Cik Asmahan Bt Hj Sulaiman (Serial No. A/306) DC/07/3443 c/r DC/08/3775 By ASDB Order dated 19 February 2011 the Respondent of No. 9, Jalan UP 3/5A, Ukay Perdana, Ampang, 68000 Ulu Klang, Selangor was fined RM4,000.00 for allowing unauthorized persons to carry on legal business in her name without proper supervision. 4. Mr. Jagesh s/o Ponnaiha @ Mehalingam (Serial No. J/256) DC/09/5126 By ASDB Order dated 18 February 2011 the Respondent of No. 9, Jalan Anggerik Arranda 31/5, Kota Kemuning, 40460 Shah Alam, Selangor was fined RM5,000.00 for charging grossly excessive fee in the absence of any written agreement. 5. En. Azhari Bin Daud (Serial No. A/805) DC/09/4559 By ASDB Order dated 18 February 2011 the Respondent of No. 1-4-01, Lorong Aziz Ibrahim, 11900 Bayan Lepas, Penang was fined RM5,000.00 for conduct unbefitting of an Advocate and Solicitor in coming to an agreement with the Complainant to share the RM1.00 psf commission and reneging on that promise after the sale of the Complainant’s mother’s land went through. 6. En. Syed Fakhruzzaman Bin Syed Mansor (Serial No. S/1112) DC/10/5249 By ASDB Order dated 18 February 2011 the Respondent of No. 2923-S, Taman Uda, Jalan Sultanah, 05350 Alor Setar, Kedah Darul Aman was fined RM3,000.00 for gross disregard of his client’s interest in that his Respondent failed to attend to the Complainant’s land transactions although had been paid fees for the same.
