The CPCF is aimed at providing a platform for professional bodies and other selected organizations to deliberate matters pertaining to the Companies Act 1965 and its subsidiary legislation. It also covers matters involving practical issues such as the workings and support of the Registry of Companies.

The Companies Commission of Malaysia (CCM) intends to hold the CPCF 3 times annually namely one forum every quarterly except for the first quarter of the year.

Kindly be informed that CCM intends to hold CPCF No. 1/2006 tentatively in mid June 2006. Members are therefore urged to take this opportunity to forward your view(s) on related matters by 19 May 2006 to the Corporate and Commercial Law Committee, Bar Council Secretariat, No. 13, 15 & 17, Leboh Pasar Besar, 50050 Kuala Lumpur or e-mail to emily.lee@malaysianbar.org.my. However, if you are unable to revert by 19 May 2006, you may still forward your view(s) so that it could be raised at the next CPCF.
