FLASHBACK series is where we attempt to document the Campaign journey every step of the way, so you can be part of it as well. Here is the first of the many FLASHBACK series soon to come. Published on 12 June 2010. In conjunction with the celebration of World Press Freedom Day, the National Union of Journalists Malaysia (NUJ) and the Bar Council worked hand in hand to organize a workshop on the awareness of journalists about the rights contained in the Constitution on May 2, 2010 (Sunday). This workshop was held at Sin Chew Jit Poh Office, Jalan Universiti, Petaling Jaya starting at 2.00 pm. It was attended by more than 20 journalists from various newspapers
such as the Sin Chew Daily, The Star and Berita Harian. The objective
of this workshop is to create a better understanding from the
perspective of the constitutional and legislation to the journalists.
Edmund Bon started the workshop with activity entitled “Where Do You
Stand?” In which, the participants were asked a few current issues and
to make a choice whether to stand in line “agree”, “disagree” or “not
sure.”
