KUALA LUMPUR: Retired Court of Appeal Judge Datuk K.C. Vohrah will launch the sixth phase of the Bar Council’s MyConstitution campaign here today.

Vohrah, who was a Suhakam commissioner, will also participate in a discussion called “Conversations on the Constitution — Independence of the Judiciary: Bridging Idealism and Reality.”

The event will take place at Cava Restaurant at Jalan Bangkung in Bangsar at 3pm.

The 6th Rakyat Guide (RG) booklets and Rakyat Service Advertisement of the two-year-long campaign will also be launched then.

One year into the campaign, the booklets recently came under attack from the 1Malaysia Graduate Youth Club in Serdang.

Club members lodged a police report on Sept 5 alleging that the booklets were seditious but council chairman Ragunath Kesavan has denied the claim, saying the campaign was aimed at helping Malaysians understand the Constitution in simple, layman terms.
