 A Pretty Welcome Decision by J Hishammuddin Yunus - 2007/10/18 19:31 A pretty welcome decision given by J Hishammuddin Yunus on ISA today.

In reading out the judgment ordering that the Government of Malaysia to compensate a detainee under ISA Abdul Malek Hussin, a President of Electroral Assistance, Consultancy & Research for Free and Fair Election, MAFREL, a total sum of RM2.5Million, the Judge defining the act by the Police as "shameful" and "disgraceful".

A pretty good turning point for our controversial judiciary...

 Re:A Pretty Welcome Decision by J Hishammuddin Yunus - 2007/10/19 10:11 Hopefully the decision will not be overrule by the Court of Appeal or the Federal Court as the case of "Abdul Ghani Haroon" previously.

 Re:A Pretty Welcome Decision by J Hishammuddin Yunus - 2008/11/19 13:30 Yes, I agree hopefully the case will not overturn to they side in higher court, and hopefully it not just publicity stunt or any kind. Hope it is true for the detainee for goodsake.

 Re:A Pretty Welcome Decision by J Hishammuddin Yunus - 2008/11/19 20:55 I hope the CHIEF POLICE OF MALAYSIA is now aware of the judge's comments re being - "shameful" and "disgraceful" - so as to put the toes of the P Force on the ground instead of their continuously floating on their own pinnacles- and being boosted by the 'powerful' political personalities acting s at their 'base'!
