KLYLC is looking for Talents! - 2009/06/03 13:08The KLYLC is inviting all talented lawyers to participate in its first ever “Legally Talented” performance. This year, KLYLC will yet again provide a platform to showcase the talents of our own members, whatever it may be! The finalists will be selected by the panel of judges to perform in the Charity Night 2009 on 3rd July 2009 at Modesto’s in Cap Square.
The talents can be from an array of acts such as singing, dancing, playing instruments, juggling and many others. Donations collected will be donated to a charitable home. This is your chance to shine and your chance to give back!
Auditions will be held on the 13th of June 2009, from 10 am to 2pm at the KL Bar Auditorium. For more information please email Melissa at melissa@klbar.org.my and click here for the participation form.

Good one Chee Hoe. From KL Bar Idol, to the great Battle of the Bands last year, the evolution to a "talent" show is great. Who knows, there may be a Susan Boyle amongst us.

Re:KLYLC is looking for Talents! - 2009/06/04 15:05It is good to be looking for talents; but the initiators and searchers of TALENTS themselves need to ensure that the judges who are to be enplaced as 'judges' are credible, talented and unbiased personalities - preferably to be chosen from those who are NOT LAWYERS, and if they are to be 'lawyers', then certainly not the lawyers who are the peers of the contestants themselves!
Otherwise, the organisers and the contestants would be making themselves a 'Laughing Stock'- which is unwanted and unnecessary, even in the name of 'Charity'.
Have a good time!
