Dear Stephen,

The NST did carry a story on the launch of the Red Book but only for the KL Region. Please click here to read. - MBW

I am NOT disappointed that The Star, The Sun and The New Straits Times did NOT report the launch.

It only buttresses my belief as to how corporatised they are, concentrating as they do on corporate news so that they can get the advertisements which go to their profits.

This trend has been in place for a long time, and is noreflection on the practising journalists.

I am really glad that I am not involved in this race for profits, while forgetting the basic duty to serve the rakyat and the nation.

It is dismaying to watch the increasing corporatisation of the media and the, hopefully "thwarted" criminalisation of the political process, at least in the Malaysian Chinese and Indian arena which is actually a marginalised part of the Malaysian political arena.

God help my country! - Stephen Tan Ban Cheng
