<description>It occurs to me that a different anniversary is coming up with a more specific relation to the Malaysian Bar. Considering the recent disturbing events, I wonder if we may yet be called upon to dig up a comfortable pair of shoes to walk in before the year is over. :'(

<description>1. I suppose buying time is crucial to politicians. Instilling fear may deter or suppress people for awhile, but not for long.

2. If this is not immediately reversed, whatever rhetoric that the Government may use from now on will be simply a joke, if it is not already a joke to many people.

3. The real test is on the people now. They can arrest hundreds, or even thousands. But they can't arrest millions. Whether or not our country progresses or regresses, now truly depends on the ordinary people. Ordinary people are capable of extraordinary things.

			<title>Manifesting arrested democracy.</title>

<description>What better way to put a stop to the truth getting out in the future than to arrest the reporter that brought us the story of AI. (No, not that AI; the other one.) Let this be a lesson to all you reporters out there: tell the truth at your peril. Reporting the truth is now prejudicial to the security of the nation and can lead to your arrest. Another case of M.A.D.ness.

And while we're at it let's go after a few politicians, but only from the other side. Let's get them and take them away from the Klang Valley, far from the madding crowd.

Selamat Hari Malaysia.

<description>When Nurin was missing, they blamed the parents and wanted to take action against them ...

When told that the Parliament was not gonna dissolved &quot;tomorrow&quot;, the Parliament was dissolved &quot;tomorrow&quot; ...

And many many examples more ...

Now what? ISA against the reporter and not the maker??? And RPK???

<title>Unbelievable! Use of ISA is unnecessary and unjustified!</title>
			<link>http://www.malaysianbar.org.my/legal/general_news/sin_chew_reporter_arrested_under_isa.html#pc_7880</link>
<description>ISA being used again to quell political dissent!

There are so many other legal provisions which provide for adequate protection to the accused to defend themselves, the use of the draconian power of ISA is unnecessary and unjustified!

<title>Who is more dangerous to society?</title>
			<link>http://www.malaysianbar.org.my/legal/general_news/sin_chew_reporter_arrested_under_isa.html#pc_7878</link>
<description>Surely the reporter cannot be more dangerous than the speaker. This must be the last straw that kills the proverbial camel of free speech and information.
