			<title>BUAT APA YANG BETUL</title>
			<link>http://www.malaysianbar.org.my/opinions/comments/tunku_abdul_aziz_cut_the_theatrics_anwar_and_let_malaysians_get_on_with_their_lives.html#pc_7443</link>
<description>&quot;Buat apa yang betul,&quot; said our Prime Minister Pak Lah when told by an Umno divisional leader that Datuk Seri Azizah can be toppled in her parliamentary seat when trying to retain her seat.

Her husband was still in jail. I remembered sitting up the entire night to wait for the recount. I was overjoyed that she had won, never minding even if the victory had been buoyed by sympathy votes.

In the same vein, I now ask all politicians to &quot;buat apa yang betul,&quot; even if safeguards must be instituted when doing what is right by this country and all its institutions, however battered they might be.

Amidst all the burly and burly of post-election politics in Malaysia, Malaysians must remember that whatever can be said of our present Prime Minister, he has allowed the electoral process to proceed freely and fairly - never mind the invariable instance or two of wrongdoings.

In fact, I shudder to think how the March 8 election would have turned out without him at the helm.

Whatever they think of Pak Lah, Umno members and leaders must bow down - bow down deep - in salute for this singular achievement.
